Name  : Noisy Boy from Real Steel

Size    : 26cm(h) x 14.5cm(w) x 12cm(d)

Papers : 10 sheets of 180 gsm A4

Finally I get it done today. I printed this long bfr my exam but I couldnt finished it, so i had to leave it aside first, until NOW.

Even though Noisy Boy (aka "The Steel Samurai","The Manga Mangler", "Noisy") appeared in the movie only for a short while before it got killed, but it's a cool beautifully design robot compare to other bots in Real Steel. And yes, it looks like a Japan Samurai.

Before started to build this, I was thinking if I could modify the template to make it pose-able.

So I started to sketch the parts that involved. It wasn't that hard until I joined all the parts together.

A close look at the head. It was so tiny yet precise in the details.

"The Negative Effect"

So a friend of mine showed me this video, it was a documentary about a group of lomographers that travel to Penang to organise an exhibition.

By exhibition, I mean snap, develop and display. It's real, close-to-life, spontaneous.

Yes, it's analog in this whole new digital world. It's about freestyle in photography. Sometimes, thr's sth tat is unexplainable, you can't tell why use film while you have digital, but you can't see wt's wrong with using film either. We don't need reason for everything, it's all about the process.

Try it, you'll get addicted.

Check out how the whole things go...

What is Papercraft?

In the eyes of some people, papercraft is simply folding and gluing papers that you've printed from a free template, which doesn't require much effort. Some even think it's childish.

What I can say is that papercraft is not limited to Origami, it can be a serious hobby that create stunning result. Try it before you say anything, you'll find that it's not as simple as you think and it does require patient and concentration.

This is my very first papercraft.

Unlike Origami, papercraft involves cutting out the template from papers and gluing each pieces back together, creating a 3D model. It can be very simple, yet it can be very detailed.

Start from the simple basic one, I'm currently customizing my own stuff from some existing templates, creating some enhancement.

The tools for papercraft is simple and affordable. I use normal paper glue, thick paper stock, a tweezer, toothpick to apply glue and a penknife.

There's a lot of free templates on the net, jz google it and you'll find almost anything in papercraft.

A photobox from Creative Park, which I resize it to fix in my instax film.

I think it looks nice without the ears..haha...

This is my first movable papercraft.

Final day of the year, haven't get my works done here..
but i jz have to sum up what I've done here..

I admit, I have an obsession with craft and DIY, or anything that involve hand work..
even repair job..
Like i've mentioned in my previous post, here's some of it.
Made this x'mas present right after my exam, well it's nt really 'made' as I bought the camera..
here's how it looks lk whn it arrived

Found a box in my store and it fits perfectly..then I decided to give it a rough look by stencil spraying it..
 wrapper's ready to go..

Shred some scrap papers for it, mix some pink to mk it looks nicer..

Ta-da! Here's the final outcome.

By da way, I did a thorough cleaning for the Trip35.
So now one for me, one for her..
